Introducing My Community for Creative Entrepreneurs

Hello y'all! It has been a while since I published my last blog post. That is because I have been working on an amazing creation that has remained behind the scenes... until now!

Introducing Collaborate to Create. This is a community for creative entrepreneurs to teach, learn from, and inspire one another. If you are a creative individual who is looking to join this community, join us on our podcast, Collaborate to Create, or on Instagram, @collaboratetocreate.

Down the road, we will also be adding virtual Zoom courses that will allow small groups of creatives to teach and learn from one another. Every member who joins these Zoom courses will be added to our private Facebook group. In that group, you can continue to ask questions and provide inspiration and support to other creatives in our community.

Now that you know where to find Collaborate to Create, let's talk about its founding and how you can start benefiting from it starting today!

How Collaborate to Create Was Founded

In the time span between Christmas of 2019 and New Year's Eve, I took a beach vacation. During my vacation, I read a female entrepreneurship book, Girl Code, by Cara Alwill Leyba. As I read about helping one another reach the top, rather than trying to beat one another to the top, the wheels in my head began to turn. That week, I dreamt up this idea for a community of creatives where the goal is to not only learn from others, but to be supportive of sharing your ideas with other aspiring creatives.

The First Draft

I thought that this community would bloom through a series of small, in-person teaching events in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. But the world works in funny ways and 2020 did not go as planned. I had to adapt to this new, virtual, socially distanced world.

The Final Product

After adaptation and lots of strategy planning, I settled on the brand name and the game plan: one overarching brand that includes a podcast series, and Instagram page, virtual teaching events, and a private Facebook group.

What We Provide To You

Collaborate to Create focuses on specific, concrete strategies that can help creatives grow their digital presence. We cover personal branding, photo editing, engagement rate strategies, maintaining authenticity, and even ways to get out of a creative rut. These topics are currently covered in our podcast series and on Instagram.
