My Favorite Stores for Affordable Clothing

You're shopping for that statement piece or staple item you've looked everywhere for. After visiting five stores, you see it hanging in front of you. It's your size and it's the perfect color. The problem? The price tag. So you put it back on the rack and continue looking for an alternative, frustrated that the one you like is so much money. In order to stay up-to-date with the latest fashion trends and expanding my wardrobe for the variations in Texas weather, I add new pieces to my wardrobe frequently. This can get expensive, which is why any time I need a new item to add to my closet, I check the following discount clothing stores before going anywhere else.

Discount Clothing Store #1- Nordstrom Rack

This is hands down my favorite store for anything from shoes to jeans to purses to pajamas. They have so many staple items from good brands that you would usually pay hundreds of dollars for. I get all of my Joe's Jeans from Nordstrom Rack and they are usually half the price that they are in other stores. I also get 90% of shoes from here, including shoes from Sam Edelman, Steve Madden, Kate Spade, and Dolce Vita. Next time you are looking for a staple item or something to freshen up your wardrobe, I highly recommend visiting Nordstrom Rack. (Nordstrom gift cards apply to the Rack as well!)

Discount Clothing Store #2- T.J. Maxx

I am a Maxxinista all the way! T.J. Maxx helps you save so much money on things that you need and they have more than just clothing! Running shoes, a new backpack for school, a tote for work, workout gear, phone cases, beach towels... you name it, they have it. Their store requires a little more effort to go through all the clothing racks, but is so great for finding items that will help you dress for your next adventure. Whether it's a pair of fashion sneakers for your weekend getaway, a bikini for your next vacation, decor for your new home, or an entire workout set to help you feel confident at the gym, T.J. Maxx has great items that don't break the bank. Did I mention they have a website now?! Their site (https://tjmaxx.tjx.com/store/index.jsp) makes it easier to find exactly what you're looking for, and you may just stumble upon their Gucci purses. Yes, you read that right. T.J. Maxx sells Gucci and so many other designer brands that you wouldn't expect.

Discount Clothing Store #3- Saks Off 5th

This is a discount clothing store that I explore when I am looking for a name brand item for less. They carry everything from Dolce Vita to Free People to Golden Goose. They have less basics but have great items that are on trend with designer brands. I tend to spend most of my time in their store in the shoe section because they have so many name brands but they have all of them for discounted prices.
